Job Description
My client is a well-established Commercial Drywall, Metal Framing, and Fire-Stop Contractor based in Southwest Florida. They are seeking a Drywall Estimator to join their growing team and take a lead role in developing accurate, competitive bids across a variety of commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities :
- Review drawings and specifications to determine scope for drywall, metal framing, and fire-stop systems.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs for materials and labor using OST or similar digital take-off software.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, including material, labor, equipment, overhead, and mark-ups.
- Prepare and present bid proposals with scope definitions, assumptions, exclusions, and contingencies.
- Collaborate with project managers, field leaders, and procurement teams to align estimates with real-world conditions.
- Identify value-engineering options that reduce cost while maintaining quality and performance.
- Track and update productivity rates, material pricing, and subcontractor quotations.
- Contribute to bid / no-bid decisions by evaluating risk, scope complexity, and profitability potential.
- Maintain accurate records of all bid documents, quotes, and post-bid analysis for ongoing improvement.
Qualifications & Skills :
3–5+ years of drywall and / or metal framing estimating experience in commercial construction (healthcare, institutional, multi-family, etc.).Strong technical knowledge of drywall assemblies, fire-rated systems, acoustical partitions, and metal framing.Proficient with OST (On-Screen Takeoff) or similar take-off software, plus strong Excel and estimating tool experience.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in quantifying and pricing work.Confident reading and interpreting drawings, specs, and schedules.Clear communicator, able to explain estimating logic and assumptions to project and leadership teams.Organized and able to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines.Familiar with Florida labor markets, subcontractor networks, and drywall productivity benchmarks.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred but not required.Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.What’s on Offer :
