About The Position

🏥 Position Description

We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens assignment at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND , starting January 2026 . This role is ideal for physicians looking for flexible scheduling, excellent support staff, and a manageable patient volume in an inpatient pediatric and newborn setting.

  • Location : Altru Hospital – 1200 S Columbia Rd, Grand Forks, ND
  • Start Date : January 2026 – Ongoing
  • Schedule : 1–2 weeks per month
  • Shift Structure : 24-hour pager call (7 AM – 7 AM), 7 days / week
  • On-site presence not required during call
  • Setting : Inpatient Pediatrics & Newborn / Nursery Units
  • Beds : 18 pediatric / newborn + 5 nursery beds
  • Average Census : ~8 patients / day

Job Requirements

📋 Requirements

  • Board Certification : Pediatrics (Required)
  • Experience with procedures : Lumbar punctures, circumcisions (Required)
  • Technology : Familiarity with Vocera Edge (Preferred)
  • Licensure : Active and unrestricted license (ND preferred or willing to obtain)
