Job Summary
A Youth Sports Soccer Official is responsible for enforcing the soccer rules, ensuring that all games start on time, and providing a safe and positive environment for participants (grades 1
st
th
). Applicant must have prior knowledge of soccer either as a participant, coach or official. Applicant must be available Saturdays from 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM. Hours are dependent on team registrations.

Position Summary
- Officiates and enforce soccer rules and regulations per WIAA and MPS Recreation guidelines.
- A strong knowledge for rules and policies pertaining to soccer.
- Report for duty as assigned at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your assignment / shift.
- Model positive language and behavior.
- Dress in designed uniform
- Effectively communicate with other recreation staff and patrons regarding soccer rules upon request.
- Possess a high level of independent judgement and the ability to make on the spot decisions.
- Follows, administers, and implements MPS Recreation procedures, policies, programs and services.
- Have the physical ability to set up / break down soccer fields and sites as needed.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

This environment includes walking, climbing, standing for long periods of time, and possible loud noises when exposed to activities in the gym or similar environment. Staff will be required to supervise groups of children and adults as well as assist in the accommodation of children and / or adults with disabilities (within parameters of provided training).
