About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Rotating Days and Nights

Hours per Shift : 12 Hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years of acute care Bone Marrow Transplant or hematology / oncology experience required.

License : Active RN License

Certifications : AHA BLS certification required. ONC certification preferred.

Must-Have : Previous experience in a similar unit and ability to float between like units as needed.

Description :

The Registered Nurse will work in a specialized unit caring for patients with blood cancers.

Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy, biotherapies, and cellular therapies such as stem cell transplants.

The Registered Nurse will monitor patients receiving treatment and respond to any complications.

Patient ratios are typically 3-4 patients per nurse.

The environment requires strong communication skills and the ability to recognize and react to abnormal lab values.

Nursing staff will also provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and side effects.

Weekend shifts will be required based on unit needs.

This position involves a commitment to high-quality patient care and teamwork.

Candidates must have experience with BMT management and be proficient in handling patient care equipment.

The ability to manage acute situations and maintain professionalism is essential in this role.

This position does not require on-call duties.

Previous charge nurse experience is a plus.

Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
