We are seeking a Utility Engineer to join our growing team and support our transportation infrastructure projects across Texas. This role will be responsible for preparing utility design plans and coordinating utility relocations to support public sector roadway / Rail and infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Research existing utility infrastructure information within transportation corridor
Prepare utility design plans using AutoCAD and / or MicroStation for civil infrastructure projects.
Coordinate with utility owners, municipalities, and project stakeholders to identify conflicts and develop relocation solutions.
Review utility plans and resolve design conflicts with roadway, drainage, and structural elements.
Assist in preparing utility agreements, cost estimates, and schedules.
Support Project Managers and senior engineers on multi-disciplinary transportation projects.
Maintain compliance with TXDOT, municipal, and other agency standards.
Attend coordination meetings, both internal and with clients / external utility companies.
Maintain accurate and timely project documentation and records.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required.
PE license in Texas
5-10 years of experience in civil design or utility coordination (TXDOT experience preferred).
Proficiency in AutoCAD and / or MicroStation required; OpenRoads or Civil 3D experience is a plus.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
