Description :

The role involves working in a Special Care Nursery.

Responsibilities include providing care for neonates, specifically those in a Level 2 SCN.

RNs will assist with high-risk deliveries and perform various procedures such as blood glucose monitoring and APGAR scoring.

Nurses are expected to support breastfeeding and handle breast milk appropriately.

Additional duties include monitoring neonatal sepsis and managing thermoregulation.

The average daily census is 1, with a staffing ratio of 1 : 2.

Weekend shifts will be required every third weekend.

Floating to postpartum or pediatric units may be necessary if the RN possesses those skills.

There is no on-call requirement for this position.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams is an essential part of the job.

Candidates should demonstrate skills in patient and family teaching related to neonatal care.

Experience with Epic charting is essential for this position.
