STIWA is hiring a motivated and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in Rock Hill, SC . In this role, you'll set up, operate, and maintain CNC Turning Machines to produce high-precision components using a variety of materials such as metals, plastics, and alloys. You'll work from detailed blueprints, selecting the right tools and setups to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Your Duties :
- Set up CNC turning machines by installing and adjusting necessary tools, gauges, and controls.
- Load raw materials into the machines and ensure proper alignment.
- Monitor the machines during operation to ensure they are running efficiently and producing high-quality components.
- Make necessary adjustments to the machines as needed, such as changing cutting tools or modifying cutting parameters.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine errors or malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Keep accurate records of production data, including output, scrap, and machine maintenance.
Your Profile :
High school diploma or GED equivalent; certification or vocational training in CNC machining is a plusProven experience as a CNC Machinist with a focus on turning operations, including setup and operation of CNC turning machinesProficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and applying appropriate machining techniquesFamiliarity with G-code programming, CAD / CAM software, and different cutting tools and their applicationsDMGMORI Lathe experience (preferred)Experience working with Fanuc or Siemens controlsStrong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset, with a commitment to accuracy and efficiencyKnowledge of safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesStrong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively while contributing to a positive, team-oriented culturePreference for candidates living within a reasonable commuting distance to our Rockhill, SC locationOur Offer :
