DeVry Greenhouses is seeking a motivated individual with a positive attitude to join our nursery production team. The core focus of this position is to support plant care and production activities in the nursery.
The ideal candidate has some flexibility with hours due to seasonal volume change during peak and non-peaked periods. Regular hours are 7am-5pm, Monday to Friday. Some Saturday work may be required during peak seasons.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Propagating and transplanting nursery stock
- Potting and re-potting plants
- Planting, spacing, and staking trees, shrubs, and young plants
- Pruning trees, shrubs, and plants
- Digging, cutting and transplanting trees, shrubs, flowers and plants
- Spraying trees, shrubs, flowers, and plants to prevent disease and pests
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas
