Position Details
We are seeking qualified individuals interested in adjunct teaching on a course-by-course basis. Strong academic background is required. Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period, and may involve in-class or online instruction.
Course Offering
This course introduces students to the principles of addiction recovery support, covering the four domains of recovery support (Ethical Responsibility, Advocacy, Mentoring & Education, Recovery & Wellness Support) and the twelve core functions of alcohol and drug abuse counselors (screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, client education, referral, reports and record keeping, consultation).
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Human Services, Psychology, or Human Development, and three years' experience in the recovery field. The salary range is $800-$950 per contact hour, determined by faculty rank based on education and experience. Employment is contingent upon background check completion.
