Job Summary :
Join a leading space exploration company in a high-impact role supporting the manufacturing of spaceflight systems. As a Machine Programmer , you will develop and modify NC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines to ensure precision machining and first-pass success of tight-tolerance, high-value parts . You’ll work alongside engineers and machinists to improve processes and enable safe, repeatable spaceflight. Key Responsibilities :
- Develop NC programs for CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines
- Produce setup sheets and define machining strategy from design data
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and shop floor teams
- Design and define custom tooling and fixtures as needed
- Provide Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) feedback
- Support configuration control and documentation of job records
- Improve machining and administrative processes
- Conduct product acceptance per company policy
- Maintain a safe and compliant industrial work environment
Required Experience :
years of NC programming experienceStrong blueprint reading and GD&T (ASME M-) interpretationTooling and fixture design experienceProficiency in setup sheet creation, cutter selection, and feed / speed calculationsMachining experience with Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminumDFMA application in manufacturing environmentsExcellent communication and attention to detailComfortable with precision tools and computer-based workcitizenship or lawful residency status requiredNice-to-Have Experience :
