Precision, High-Tech 5-Axis CNC Machinist (Day Shift)

POSITION OVERVIEW / SUMMARY : \n

\nMetalex’s expansion of our precision, high-tech, turning and milling area of expertise is creating opportunities for exceptional machinists who want to continue to hone their skills by working on the latest state-of-the-art equipment machining challenging complex parts made of exotic, high-temp alloys.   • Day Shift - 6 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm (Monday-Friday)

\n \n

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS :

\n \n

  • Ability to read and Interpret Drawings and Part Specifications

    • \n

  • Ability to Comprehend and Follow Router that details what needs to be completed on each part

    • \n

  • Capable of Performing Machine Set Ups

    • \n

  • Proficient in handling Measuring Instruments and Test Equipment

    • \n

  • Understand Quality Requirements and be able to perform “in-process” inspections of your own work in addition to working with the Quality Team to ensure delivery of high quality parts

    • \n

  • Understanding of Basic Shop Floor Mathematics

    • \n

  • Understanding of CNC Programming

    • \n

  • Basic Computer Skills

    • \n

  • Agree to follow Metalex Operator’s Acceptance Program

    • \n

  • Maintain 6S Standard Shop Checklist

    • \n

  • Observe all Safety Requirements and be responsible for reporting any unsafe conditions

    • \n

  • Strong Work Ethic / Willingness to work overtime

    • \n

  • Willingness to assist in Cross Training of other Teammates by Teaching Skills they can learn from you

    • \n

  • Willingness to be Cross Trained on complementary machines as needed to support production requirements and increase your marketability

    • \n

  • Commitment to Continuous Improvement and taking initiative to lead in making enhancements

    REQUIREMENTS : \n \n

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    • \n

  • Must be a US citizen or US Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements

    • \n

  • Drug Test Required

    • \n

  • 48 Hour work week

    • \n \n
