Responsibilities Work in a hospital setting on a mixed acuity progressive care and Med / Surg oncology unit Care primarily for adult oncology and bone marrow transplant patients with diagnoses such as leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and related disorders Patient care includes autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic transplants, as well as CAR-T therapy Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7 : 00 pm - 7 : 30 am), with no set schedule and potential for weekend work as determined by the facility Must be highly flexible with scheduling, as the facility assigns shifts and weekends as needed Medical-surgical and telemetry skills required, including telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation Daily responsibilities include caring for complex oncology and transplant patients and administering chemotherapy Expected to manage all aspects of transplant care, including coordination for various types of stem cell transplants Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment First-time travelers will be considered Local candidates are accepted at the same rate Maximum of 1-2 days of requested time off must be included with initial contract request; additional RTO not permitted Must have been separated from prior employment at the facility for at least 6 months to be eligible Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital are not eligible Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg and oncology experience Basic Life Support (BLS) and ONS Chemotherapy Certification required Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification is required Proficiency in central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, feeding tube care, and use of rapid response teams Ability to provide two professional references, with at least one from a supervisor or formal leader Must be able and willing to complete required Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-614554.
