They are seeking experienced professionals to join their team to manage patient accounts, insurance verification, and billing for dialysis services including in-center, peritoneal, and home dialysis programs. This is a full-time direct hire opportunity with potential for hybrid work after the initial probationary period.
Job Description :
The Medical Biller / Collector will be responsible for managing dialysis billing and collections while ensuring accuracy and compliance with payer and CMS guidelines. The role requires independent problem-solving, research of payer policies, and creation of standardized procedures to optimize billing processes. Candidates must be able to manage high-volume accounts and ensure timely payment while collaborating with clinical and administrative teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and submit claims for dialysis services, including hemodialysis, peritoneal, and home dialysis.
- Follow up on unpaid accounts, billing discrepancies, and denied claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Conduct insurance verification and authorization prior to service delivery.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of billing and collection activities.
- Research CMS updates, payer guidelines, and reimbursement policies; recommend process improvements as needed.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for dialysis billing and collections.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow between billing, clinical, and administrative departments.
Qualifications :
Minimum 3 years of dialysis billing and collections experience.Experienced with EMRsKnowledge of payer billing guidelines, CMS regulations, and reimbursement policies.High school diploma or GED from a board-verified institution required; degree in business administration preferred but not required.Strong problem-solving skills, tech-savvy, and able to navigate multiple systems.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Additional Details :
