EHSS Director

The EHSS Director, reporting to the VP - EHSS, leads a dynamic team of program safety and compliance program leaders while directing, developing, and overseeing Unifi's health and safety policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include management of Gensuite, the backbone of Unifi's safety management system for tracking, analysis, and trending of company safety & quality related data. This individual must thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires much attention to detail, creativity, and consistency.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build relationships with stakeholders across key internal teams, stakeholder teams and external partners.
  • Closely monitor regulatory changes and provide guidance to the organization to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Develop, implement, and govern key metric reporting for the portfolio of safety programs, providing visibility to the milestones and performance
  • Conduct ad-hoc data trending and analysis to develop solutions for implementation
  • Lead corporate safety and compliance communication initiatives

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ABILITIES

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or related field is required. Six (6) years of relevant work experience required, in addition to strong leadership skills and track record of executing.

  • Proven ability to solve complex problems and influence people across all functional areas
  • Outstanding facilitator and communicator; lead innovation by teaching, consensus-building, and project execution
  • Solid decision-maker with excellent analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and be self-starting on tasks within area of expertise
  • Strong technical and business writing skills with experience documenting standards and procedures
  • Proficient and experienced user of Office 365 apps / programs (Word, Power Point, SharePoint, Sway), including managing and manipulating data using Excel
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Advanced degree / Master's Degree
  • Experience in airline / aviation-specific operations with creating, implementing, and improving region / division / company-wide safety programs and compliance
  • Experience with creating data visualization and analysis using software (Power BI / Tableau)
