The Maintenance Technician / Engineer is responsible for performing highly diversified duties, completing work orders, and making repairs related to the maintenance of our Little Sisters Home and offices, in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements. The Maintenance Technician / Engineer will strive to keeping the mission of Little Sisters of the Poor, namely the caring for the aged poor with love, respect, and dignity. "Making the elderly happy, that is what counts," was a saying of the Little Sisters of the Poor foundress, Saint Jeanne Jugan. The Maintenance Technician will demonstrate customer services skills by treating residents, staff, and others with respect, interfacing face-to-face with residents and service team, answering resident questions, responding sensitively to complaints about maintenance issues, and completing assigned work orders with efficiency and urgency. This is a full-time position, generally Monday through Friday, hours may vary based upon the needs of the department. The Maintenance Technician / Engineer will also share 24 / 7 on-call duty to handle potential emergency situations.
