Quality Engineer

Overview

Quality Engineer — Minster is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team, with an immediate opening for an individual focused on continuous improvement and process optimization. This role involves identifying opportunities for enhancing quality, formulating corrective and preventive actions, and working to implement those actions to boost quality levels and process compliance. The Quality Engineer will review machining and assembly processes, ensuring consistency and recommending modifications based on controlled experiments. Additionally, this position will support the execution of tactical quality objectives, aligning with customer and global requirements while promoting best practices in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment. A strong background in quality sciences or a technical degree in manufacturing or engineering technology is required.

Duties

• Promote quality performance throughout the area operation through process compliance and continuous improvement efforts
• Bring together staff of different disciplines and lead the group to create and implement comprehensive quality processes, procedures, and corrective actions
• Manage and maintain the area\'s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials, components, and finished goods
• Drive the ISO9001 Quality Manual processes and lead the activities to obtain certification
• Effectively interact with sales, operations, and technical teams to maintain efficient production and help introduce new products
• Work with Supplier Quality to establish quality requirements and record keeping for external suppliers
• Ensure production personnel are properly trained in inspection procedures and that these procedures are fully understood, carried out, and embraced
• Analyze quality data to feed process and part design improvements
• Formulate, manage, and report on the quality related goals and objectives for the area
• Maintain awareness of and contribute to the business objectives and company profitability targets
• Communicate with customers regarding the development of quality processes, execution of corrective action, and compliance with customers specifications
• Support and participate in the Continuous Improvement program
• Willingness to travel nationally or internationally as required
