Gilbert is a design, build and fabricate company specializing in trade shows, live events and architectural interiors.We dont just ship products, we manage client-owned assets, ensuring every item that leaves our facility returns safely and efficiently.We are looking for a hands-on Warehouse & Logistics Manager to take charge of the department and drive change cross two facilities.This role is critical in supporting a range of fast-paced, high impact projects from rapid turnaround field activations to permanent on-site installations.Youll oversee all warehouse activity, shipping and freight coordination, vendor relationships and scheduling of drivers and crews.The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, is solutions-oriented and brings a proactive mindset to improving systems and team performance.This role requires cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting project demand schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Oversee all shipping and freight activities, including arranging shipments across the US.
- Plan and coordinate deliveries to support client installations, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with project timelines.
- Manage time-sensitive schedules with minimal room for delay, managing logistics for fast paced, high visibility projects.
- Work closely with internal and external contacts to coordinate delivery windows.
- Oversee packaging, loading and safe transport of large, custom built items with specialist requirements (crating, rigging, protective packaging)
- Be available to support occasional weekend and after-hours activity during peak project times.
- Serve as the logistical point of contract for on-site activities, liaising with external vendors, contractors, etc. as needed.
- Review, revise and implement SOPs to drive operational excellence.
- Partner with internal teams to align facility, labor and equipment resources with client project deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS :
10+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations and at least 5 years in leadership or supervisory role with proven experience managing time-sensitive projects, installations and field logistics.Proven ability o lead, coach and develop warehouse and logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance across all levels.Comprehensive knowledge of shipping, receiving, freight and transportation scheduling, inventory management across multiple sites and oversight of large item handlingAbility to negotiate contracts and build a reliable network of logistics partners.Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to lead cross functional teams.Comfortable working flexible hours, including occasional weekends and evenings as project require.
