They are seeking a Data Architect in Washington, DC with deep expertise in data modeling, architecture, and analytics to join their team!
Key Responsibilities
Data Modeling & Design : Develop relational and NoSQL database models, schemas, normalization, and entity-relationship diagrams.
Data Architecture : Architect scalable, secure, and flexible enterprise data infrastructures to support analytics and operational requirements.
ETL & Data Integration : Design and optimize ETL processes, data pipelines, and integrations across diverse platforms.
Cloud Data Platforms : Leverage AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services (data lakes, warehouses, streaming analytics) to build modern data solutions.
Programming & Scripting : Utilize Python, SQL, Java, or Scala to manipulate data and build efficient pipelines.
Data Governance & Security : Ensure compliance with federal data privacy and security standards while implementing governance frameworks.
Analytics & Business Intelligence : Support visualization and reporting through tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
Project Management : Coordinate multi-stakeholder projects, managing risks, schedules, and deliverables effectively.
Requirements
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
Experience : 5–8 years in data architecture, data management, or related IT roles, including hands-on experience in large-scale data modeling and platform implementation.
Certifications (preferred) :
Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
AWS Certified Analytics – Specialty
Microsoft Certified : Power BI Data Analyst Associate
Microsoft Certified : Azure Data Engineer Associate
