Field Engineer

Overview

The Field Engineer will be responsible for managing and executing projects in a safe manner. It requires travel to field locations, both domestically and internationally, to install, commission, troubleshoot and pull Subsurface Compressor Systems (SCSs). It requires a willingness to relocate internationally when necessary.

Physical Demands / Travel

Domestic and international travel up to ~70% of the time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead field operations during SCS installations, pulls, troubleshooting and commissioning
• Perform detailed job planning, risk assessment and safety requirements
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, communication and control system issues
• Oversee site safety, equipment preparation and execution of work plans
• Generate technical documentation : pre-job plans, post-job reports and field logs
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and operations teams
• Assist in procedure development, equipment trials and field tests
• Provide client interface, third party vendors and on-site decision-making
• Mentor and support junior technicians or contractors
