A law firm seeks a Trusts and Estates Attorney in Cleveland, OH. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in estate planning, trust administration, tax planning, and probate. This role involves working closely with clients to provide tailored legal advice, ensuring their wishes are fulfilled and assets protected.

Duties

  • Assist in designing and drafting estate and tax planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Administer trusts and estates, manage probate processes, and oversee asset distribution.
  • Handle tax planning and compliance for trusts and estates.
  • Provide guidance on charitable planning, business succession, and asset protection.
  • Represent clients in probate court and other legal proceedings.
  • Stay informed on changes in estate and tax laws.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors for comprehensive solutions.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
  • 5-10 years of experience in trust and estate law.
  • Preferred accounting and / or tax experience or education.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
