A company is looking for an Insurance Verification Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate financial clearance activities, including patient demographic and insurance verification
Obtain referral authorizations and precertification numbers while ensuring compliance with insurance requirements
Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve financial clearance issues and maintain accurate patient records
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher preferred
1-3 years of hospital registration and / or insurance experience, with at least one year in a customer service role
General knowledge of healthcare terminology and insurance processes
Experience with Epic or similar healthcare management systems preferred
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Suite applications
