Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Field Operations Manager for our steel fabricating client to start immediately at $75k-$90k / annually DOE! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!
Responsibilities :
The Field Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day field activities of multiple ironworking crews, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of projects. This role is responsible for coordinating 8–12 field crews, managing material delivery and logistics, scheduling and maintaining equipment, and ensuring all employees maintain up-to-date training certifications. The position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts across diverse job sites.
Crew Management
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of 8–12 ironworking crews across multiple projects.
- Ensure work is performed in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and deadlines.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to field supervisors and foremen.
- Monitor crew performance and productivity, making adjustments as needed.
Material & Equipment Management
Oversee scheduling, delivery, and distribution of steel, hardware, and other jobsite materials.Coordinate equipment allocation, maintenance, and repairs to minimize downtime.Track usage, inventory, and ensure tools / equipment are properly maintained and available when needed.Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.Conduct regular jobsite inspections to identify and mitigate risks.Maintain and track employee training certifications, including OSHA, welding, rigging, fall protection, and equipment operation.Support the development of safety training programs and enforce a strong safety culture.Project Coordination
Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and General Contractors to align field operations with project schedules.Anticipate and resolve conflicts related to manpower, materials, and equipment.Maintain accurate daily / weekly reporting of field activities, delays, and production metrics.Location : Indianapolis, IN
Travel to job sites required. Company will give a vehicle allowance for travel.Schedule / Shift Details : Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
Qualifications :
Experience : 7+ years in ironworking, steel erection, or heavy construction with at least 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.Knowledge : Strong understanding of ironworking practices, rigging, welding, and safety standards.Skills : Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.Certifications : OSHA 30 (required), additional certifications in rigging, welding, or equipment operation strongly preferred.Technical : Proficiency in project scheduling software, MS Office, and mobile field reporting tools.Other : Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between jobsites as neededBenefits :
