      Job Summary :

      The Registered Nurse (RN) offers patient-centered care through effective assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation processes. This role focuses on delivering high-quality care by following clinical protocols and responding to physician orders. The RN collaborates with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes while fostering a supportive environment for patients and their families.

      Key Responsibilities :

    • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care as per organizational policies and nursing protocols.
    • Conduct detailed patient assessments; document findings and communicate changes to the care team.
    • Offer age-appropriate care and education based on developmental knowledge.
    • Administer medications as prescribed, monitor for side effects, and document according to standards.
    • Assist during medical procedures as required, within your documented competency.
    • Work with the healthcare team to develop and evaluate tailored care plans for patients.
    • Respond to medical emergencies and contribute to life-saving interventions as necessary.
    • Advocate for patients' rights and needs, ensuring their perspectives are included in care decisions.
    • Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
    • Implement infection control measures to reduce healthcare-associated infections.
    • Monitor and utilize medical equipment safely for patient care.
    • Ensure patient safety by adhering to National Patient Safety Goals and maintaining a safe environment.
    • Contribute to audits and compliance checks to meet regulatory standards.
    • Make accountable decisions in planning and delegating care while complying with policies.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and education in medical records.
    • Engage in professional development to keep clinical skills and knowledge current.
    • Take part in performance improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and outcomes.
    • Critical Care RN Responsibilities :
    • Administer all prescribed treatments and medications, particularly intravenous therapies.

    • Manage complex medical equipment, including ventilators and monitoring devices.
    • Perform specialized procedures such as inserting central lines and providing advanced cardiac support.
    • Carry out other responsibilities as assigned.
    • Adhere to all organizational policies and standards.
    • Qualifications :

    • 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or relevant student clinical rotations in acute care settings.
    • Skills and Abilities :

    • Thorough understanding of nursing processes and clinical practices.
    • Effective patient assessment skills with clear communication of findings.
    • Proficiency in medication administration and side effect monitoring.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities within interdisciplinary teams.
    • Attention to detail in patient documentation and care standards.
    • Familiarity with safety standards, infection control protocols, and quality improvement practices.
    • Licensure and Certifications :

    • Must hold an RN - Registered Nurse license (State or Compact State).
    • BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
    • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred.
    • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.
    • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred.
    • Refer to specific facility or unit guidelines for additional requirements.
