Responsibilities Work in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in a hospital setting Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week Provides care for post-open heart day 2 patients using advanced equipment including Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO Direct patient caseload includes critically ill cardiac patients Provide direct nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients Document patient responses to interventions and medical treatments Monitor and manage intravenous infusions, blood products, and patient vital signs Assist physicians in examinations and support minor diagnostic procedures Coordinate care planning and communicate effectively with patients and families Delegation of tasks to support staff is expected Team-based collaborative environment A six-month separation is required before returning for consideration after the conclusion of a 26-week contract Requirements Active OK or multistate compact RN license required Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required At least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred Must have proficiency with advanced circulatory support devices such as Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO Some computer skills required Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624778.
