Security Officer Unarmed Education Campus Patrol

As a Security Officer Unarmed Education Campus Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in the education industry.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will be a visible representative of Allied Universal's values, working as part of a team that puts people first and acts with integrity. Pay Rate : $20.09 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 05 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Thur 05 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Fri 05 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sat 05 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sun 05 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual conditions or activities in and around the location.
  • Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and general information as needed.
  • Collaborate with campus personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and / or incidents.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs as required by site procedures.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
