Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing compassionate care and assistance to residents in a long-term care setting. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), the CNA is expected to deliver resident-centered care while adhering to safety and infection prevention protocols.

This every other weekend position entails providing support with basic health care needs including, but not limited to :

  • Assisting with daily living activities (bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing)
  • Performing health checks and recording vital signs
  • Offering psychosocial support and personal care
  • Helping residents with mobility and exercise
  • Facilitating a positive dining experience
  • The CNA may also assist nursing staff with procedures, document care-related interactions, communicate changes in residents' conditions, and participate in wellness programs while encouraging resident involvement.

    Qualifications

    We welcome candidates who are at least 16 years old and hold a high school diploma or GED, although this is preferred, not required. While prior experience in long-term care is a plus, it is not mandatory. Must have or be in the process of obtaining a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.

    Ongoing training and yearly competency testing are required, along with 12 hours of continuing education annually. If applicable, certification with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry is also expected.

    Note : Depending on the facility and specific responsibilities, this role may require a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
