Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Bel Air, Maryland (21014) – Maryland nursing jobs

Healthcare Setting : 3E CPU – Combined Telemetry / PCU Unit

Employment Type : Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)

Start Date : October 20, 2025

End Date : January 19, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Nursing Shift : Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,790 – $1,920

Unit Details : 30 beds, adult patient population, higher acuity combined Telemetry / PCU

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience

Active Maryland RN license or Compact State RN license required

BLS (AHA), CPI, and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS certification preferred

Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system preferred

Ability to manage patient ratios of 5-6 in a fast-paced clinical environment

Comfortable floating to other hospital units as needed

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from facility

Two satisfactory professional references from recent healthcare employers

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with cardiac and medical conditions such as CHF, COPD exacerbation, NSTEMI, new Afib, arrhythmias, sepsis, and renal failure

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage cardiac drips (no titration), and respond to rapid response / code teams

Perform blood product administration, chest tube management, heparin protocols, and PICC line care

Implement isolation precautions and infection control procedures

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services

Float to other nursing units within scope of experience as required

Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
