SoarTech's Contracts department is seeking a full-time Contracts Specialist who is interested in helping support the management of our research, development, and implementation of this exciting technology into everyday operations. The Contracts Specialist will support the full lifecycle of government, state, and commercial contracts at SoarTech, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements. This role involves managing contracts from proposal through close-out, including cost and price analysis, negotiations, performance monitoring, and risk management. The position requires a solid understanding of FAR / DFARS, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to interpret complex contract language. With three or more years of relevant experience, the Contracts Specialist will handle non-routine, moderately complex contracts requiring independent judgment and problem-solving, while working under the guidance of the Director of Contracts.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support and manage contracts from proposal through close-out, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance requirements are met in accordance with the contract scope of work.
• Provide guidance on contract types, acquisition strategies, and contracting methods, including both competitive and sole source procurements.
• Administer assigned contracts to ensure compliance with all terms and conditions, including financial limits, deliverable schedules, reporting, and performance requirements.
• Advise program teams on contractual rights, risks, and obligations.
• Review solicitations, Statements of Work, and proposal instructions to develop compliance matrices and support proposal efforts.
• Analyze proposed costs and pricing, including supporting proposal evaluations and contract audits.
• Support post-proposal activities, including fact-finding, negotiations, and award reviews.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract files and data within the company's business systems.
• Monitor and track deliverables and reporting requirements, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams and government contracting officials, serving as a point of contact for contract-related matters.
• Assist in developing or improving processes, policies, and procedures related to cradle-to-grave acquisition management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information. Positions that require this access will be required to receive and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance (PCL).
