Buyer - Supply Chain

Location : Kent, WA (On-Site / Office)

Employment Type : Contract, 6 Months Pay : $65 / hr

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Buyer to support procurement activities across multiple programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services, and maintaining compliance with internal policies and government regulations. This role requires strong supplier management skills, experience with RFQs and negotiations, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure program requirements are prioritized and executed to meet business needs.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Quote (RFQs).
• Perform cost analysis and develop negotiation strategies.
• Lead formal negotiations and construct various contract types (e.g., LTAs, sourcing partnerships).
• Manage the procurement process from requisition to invoice payment.
• Resolve procurement issues and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Identify and implement strategic agreements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and program teams to meet technical and delivery requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure audit readiness.
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier down-selection processes.
