  • Duties
  • Perform comprehensive physical exams on dogs and cats (and other species if applicable)
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions
  • Develop treatment plans and communicate them clearly to pet owners
  • Perform routine surgical procedures (e.g., spays, neuters, mass removals)
  • Conduct dental procedures including prophylaxis, extractions, and oral exams
  • Interpret lab results, radiographs, and other diagnostics to guide care
  • Prescribe medications and maintain accurate medical records
  • Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and support staff
  • Provide client education and build strong, trust-based relationships
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of veterinary medicine, including CE participation
  • Follow safety and infection control protocols
  • Contribute to practice growth and culture, including mentoring newer team members when applicable
  • Experience
  • DVM or VMD degree
  • from an accredited veterinary school
  • Licensed (or eligible) to practice veterinary medicine
  • in the state of New Jersey
  • Minimum
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience
  • in general practice preferred (new grads welcome with strong mentorship structure)
  • Experience performing
  • routine surgeries
  • (spay / neuter, mass removals) and
  • dental procedures
  • Proficiency in
  • diagnostic interpretation
  • (bloodwork, radiographs, urinalysis, etc.)
  • Comfortable using or learning
  • technology-driven tools
  • (e.g., digital records, AI charting, telemedicine, automated client communication platforms)
  • Skilled in
  • client communication
  • and ability to explain medical conditions and treatments in a clear, compassionate way
  • Collaborative mindset; thrives in
  • team-oriented environments

  • Ability to manage
  • multiple cases efficiently
