We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Full Time Psychiatrist to join our team at Cedar Crest Hospita l in Belton, Texas. Cedar Crest Hospital and RTC is a 158-bed inpatient psychiatric facility. We offer acute inpatient services to children, adolescents and adults, and residential services for adolescents.

Overview :

Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and / or medication.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
• Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
• Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
• Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
• Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
• Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
