job_description.job_card.job_descriptionRecognizes criteria for ambulatory visits and accepts appropriate patients; communicates with physician and updates provider in regards to patient needs. Able to assess patient status and needs per phone conversation with appropriate referral or nursing advice and document appropriately. Recognizes significant changes and demonstrates flexibility as patient’s needs change; establishes priorities in delivery of ambulatory services; modifies nursing procedures as required by changing patient’s needs as determined by evaluation of care administered and established standards of care. Organizes and achieves quality performance level in new routines, procedures and skills. Recognizes and performs duties which need to be performed although not directly assigned; makes decisions based on factual information and acts within the LPN Scope of Practice. Seeks guidance and direction, as necessary, for performance of duties. Is knowledgeable in the assessment, treatment and care of specific populations served in the clinic such as neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatrics and developmentally disabled as appropriate level of licensure and responsibilities. Assists provider as requested, required and appropriate. Implements and documents patient / family teaching as needed. Utilizing EHR - collect all pertinent data for patient assessment. Safely administers medications routinely and on emergency basis as ordered by the provider. Demonstrates knowledge of purpose, medication dosage and calculation of dosages and expected and adverse reactions. Provides appropriate patient education prior to administration of all medications, allergy injections and immunizations. Accurately charts medications administered and procedures performed. Keeps room adequately stocked. Orders supplies as needed. Manages outdates of supplies, medication samples, medications and immunizations. Education : Meets requirements in ND and SD Century Code for licensure and regarding Standards of Practice. On-site training License Requirements : ND and / or SD LPN license, Basic Life Support and ACLS certification if required by clinic manager. Powered by JazzHR
