Position Overview
We are seeking a certified Educational Evaluator to conduct CPSE evaluations for preschool-aged children. The ideal candidate will have experience administering standardized and informal academic and cognitive assessments, interpreting results within the context of early childhood development, and writing comprehensive evaluation reports to support eligibility and educational planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct educational evaluations as part of the CPSE multidisciplinary assessment process for children ages 35.
- Administer standardized academic and cognitive assessments (e.g., DAYC-2, Brigance, Batelle etc.).
- Evaluate developmental domains including pre-academic skills, cognitive functioning, attention, memory, and learning readiness.
- Observe and assess children in structured and play-based settings, as appropriate.
- Write thorough evaluation reports that meet CPSE and state guidelines.
Qualifications
NYS Certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (BirthGrade 2 or BirthGrade 6).Experience conducting CPSE evaluations or educational assessments for young children strongly preferred.Knowledge of early childhood development, educational standards, and IEP development.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and maintain accurate documentation.Reliable transportation to conduct evaluations at homes, preschools, or agency sites.Compensation & Schedule
Schedule : Flexible; availability during weekday mornings or early afternoons preferred especially for classroom observations.Compensation : Competitive per-evaluation rate, commensurate with experience.
