Job Description

The State of South Carolina, Department of Corrections is seeking a Supervisor for the Tyger River Correctional Institution. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee all canteen operations, including supervision of canteen personnel, civilian back up and inmates. This includes interviewing, hiring, and terminating all inmate canteen workers, overseeing sales transactions, ensuring proper requisitioning, receipt, and storage of all canteen products, and maintaining policy and security procedures to prevent loss of product and equipment. Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements : A high school diploma and relevant program experience. SCDC Minimum Requirements : A high school diploma and relevant program experience (or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
