Overview
Position Title : Housekeeping Supervisor
Reports To : Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager
Supervises : Room Attendant, Houseman
Summary of Position : Daily supervision and assignments of room attendants and house person.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all work done by room attendants and house persons meets standards.
- Manage scheduling and timely completion of housekeeping tasks.
- Inspect guestrooms (vacant, check-outs, and occupied) and coordinate with housekeeping office for updates on events.
- Monitor inventory and ensure closets have adequate supplies (Pro Host system).
- Verify guest room status at check-out times and report maintenance issues to the executive housekeeper or assistant.
- Coordinate with room service for dishes in hallways and report any pet-related program needs.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area; uphold property safety and appearance standards.
- Provide guests with directions or venue information and respond promptly to comments or complaints in a professional manner.
- Model and uphold IMGR&C values in performance, behavior, professionalism, attendance, communication, teamwork, and service.
- Communicate effectively with next shift to ensure success; share information needed for others to succeed.
- Assist other departments to achieve resort success and participate in shift, team, and department meetings with constructive ideas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure all housekeeping team members complete work to standards and within scheduled times.Check guestrooms (vacant, check-outs, and occupied) and coordinate with the housekeeping office for event updates.Inspect supply closets for adequate materials and ensure cleanliness and security at shift end.Report maintenance issues in guest rooms or work areas; coordinate with appropriate staff.Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and casino policies; follow security and safety procedures.Education and / or Experience
High School Diploma or GED; or six months to one year job-related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Mescalero Apache Tribal preference; bicultural experience preferred.Physical Demands
Frequent standing, walking, grasping, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Work Environment
Work in a loud environment; potential exposure to second-hand smoke, biohazardous fluids, and high-stress situations.Seniority level
