Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Financial Patrols in Washington, DC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This driving and armed role requires you to conduct routine patrols and interact with visitors and staff, delivering exceptional customer service and strong communication. You will play an important part in creating a secure environment, embodying our values of integrity, reliability, and teamwork. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and / or vendors while upholding security-related protocols.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement and / or emergency responders when required.
  • Follow all requirements and procedures related to carrying and managing assigned firearms as per Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess an active armed guard card or license.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
