General Description :
The Department of Humanities is seeking one full-time, tenure-track faculty in Philosophy for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The ideal candidate is an active scholar and teacher, committed to promoting student success both within and beyond the classroom, leading by example. The candidate is ready to enter the dynamic environment of an urban community college with its diverse set of learners, including non-traditional and dual enrollment students. The position requires collaboration with colleagues, sometimes from other departments, and readiness to engage in interdisciplinary and intradisciplinary work that produces high-impact experiences for students. The ideal candidate will teach introductory courses in the broad area of Humanities as well as a wide range of 100-level and 200-level courses in Philosophy.
