About The Position

Job Title : X-ray Technologist

Profession : Radiologic Technologist

Specialty : Radiology

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Wednesday-Friday

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years

License : Required

Certifications : Current BLS, ARRT RT (R)

Must-Have :

• Must have own lead markers.
• Clienttion badge required prior to starting assignment.
• Must be able to perform all general X-ray, fluoroscopy, and OR exams.

Description :

Unit has 4 general X-ray rooms and 2 fluoroscopy rooms.

Traveler will float between general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and portables.

Responsibilities include performing all general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, and ED imaging studies.

Average number of studies performed is 80-100 in a 24-hour period.

Electronic Medical Record system used is EPIC.

Picture Archive & Communication System utilized is SECTRA.

Department specific equipment includes 3 general X-ray rooms, 1 Shimadzu X-ray room, GE fluoroscopy room, and OEC C-Arms.

Radiologist is available on-site 24 / 7.

IV starting skills are useful but not a requirement.

Schedule is posted at least 2 weeks in advance.

Weekend shifts may be required based on needs.

Holiday shifts may be required if scheduled on a holiday.

Some call may be required on occasion with a 45-minute response time.

Scrubs must be professional in appearance; personal scrubs are acceptable as long as they are tasteful.

Hospital scrubs are provided only for staff working in the OR.

Department-specific orientation typically spans the first three days.

Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during the assignment period.

Charting system utilized is Epic.

BSN is not required.
