Position Overview :

AES is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist eager to join our team in Akron, OH.

Candidates must have hands-on experience in machining molds, blueprint reading,

quality control and can work with our Programmer / Machinists to increase the throughput

of our machining department. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-precision, team-

oriented environment and is committed to continuous improvement.

What you will do :

  • Machine complex molds and precision components to tight aerospace and

defense tolerances.

  • Operate and troubleshoot 5-axis CNC mills, primarily using Heidenhain controls.
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints and CAD drawings.
  • Work independently through instructions and / or production schedules.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to optimize part accuracy and

    • productivity.

  • Adhere to all company safety policies and quality standards, including AS9100

    • practices.

    Qualifications we require :

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of CNC machining experience.
  • Must have 5-axis CNC milling experience.
  • Have an understanding and use of tooling, inserts, speeds / feed and fixtures.

    • Ability to hold tight tolerances.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Must possess shop math and analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be U.S. Persons (8 USC 1324b(a)(3)) or otherwise authorized by the U. S.

    • Government.

  • Ability to be moderately active for 8 or more hours a day, including standing,

    • kneeling, bending over, and lifting up to 70 pounds with reasonable

    accommodation.

    Qualifications we prefer :

  • Experience with machining molds.
  • Experience with Heidenhain controls.
  • Basic understanding of 3D CAD models.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense and other regulated manufacturing industries.
