The Digital Media Specialist will play a key role in advancing our mission to save lives through stem cell and marrow donation. This role combines creativity and analytics to manage digital campaigns, engage supporters, and grow our online community. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital storytelling, understands how to reach and motivate diverse audiences, and can translate complex health-related information into clear, compelling content.
Responsibilities
Digital Campaign Strategy and Execution
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns that raise awareness of stem cell / marrow donation that drive new donor registrations drive fundraising event registrations.
- Design digital advertisements and landing pages that attract clicks and turn into leads.
- Manage paid and organic campaigns across platforms including Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.
- Optimize campaigns for performance—tracking conversions, adjusting creative, and refining targeting to meet recruitment goals.
- Conduct keyword research and optimization.
Content Creation and Management
Work with graphic design team to create engaging multimedia content (graphics, videos, copy) that educates, inspires and activates audiences.Write social post ad copy and analyze its effectiveness through A / B testing.Monitor website and landing pages, making recommendations to ensure SEO best practices and alignment with campaign messaging.Collaborate with the social media and marketing teams to produce consistent, on-brand messaging across all digital channels.Analytics and Reporting
Monitor and analyze digital performance metrics, providing actionable insights and monthly reports.Track donor engagement, conversion rates and campaign ROI to guide data-driven decisions.Monitor web conversions and performance KPIs.Track marketing program results and interpret data to determine what is working and what is not; recommend improvement actions.Stay informed about emerging digital tools, technologies and trends relevant to healthcare and nonprofit marketing.Monitor online competitor presence / perceptions, research new blogs and channels for relevance / trend identification, report “chatter” and other relevant online data and maintain posting schedules.Perform website audits and provide data-driven recommendations based on UX best practices.Collaboration and Mission Impact
Work closely with recruitment, marketing and development teams to support events, donor drives and storytelling initiatives. Ensure all digital touchpoints reflect the organization’s mission, tone and visual identity.Contribute to strategic initiatives that expand outreach to diverse and underrepresented donor audiences.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related field.3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in a mission-driven or healthcare environment.Proficiency with Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, SEMrush and CMS platforms.Must possess a solid understanding of the digital media universe including, but not limited to : Web, Email, SMS, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Forums, Wikis and blogs to name a few.Strong writing and visual storytelling skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.Experience with SEO, paid media and email marketing.Preferred Attributes
