Quality Control Engineer - Industrial

Must have own transportation to and from jobsite every work day (driver's license not required)

• Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools)
• May be expected to travel where the project requires (multi-state opportunities)

Duties :

• Receipt inspections of materials received at project job sites.
• Perform and / or evaluate tests for qualification of welders and / or welding procedures to ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1.
• Perform inspections and document in accordance with : Code of Construction, Government Standards, and contract requirements.
• QA / QC error prevention and physical inspection of construction activities (e.g., Civil, Concrete, Epoxy Anchors, Structural Steel, Bolting (RCSC), Grouting, Mechanical, Pressure Testing, Coatings).
• Coordination of NDE Inspection contractors.
• Conduct pressure tests and document results in accordance with Code and contract requirements.
• Verification of compliance to drawings, code, and project specification requirements.
• Responsible for creating and collecting verification documents for final work packages.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience :

• Minimum 5 years or equivalent in performing inspections.
• Experience with the following codes of construction and / or standards : ASTM, ACI, AISC, AWS, RCSC, API, and ASNT.
