Job Summary : Responsible for the management and maintenance of supplies throughout the hospital, including Par Level Management of Nursing Unit Supplies.
Job Duties :
- Performs routine stock checks in designated Par supply Areas using Bar Code technology
- Maintains preset quantity of supply in Par Areas
- Performs complete inventory of Par Supply Areas as scheduled and directed by management
- Documents appropriately the quantities of products issued to the assigned units.
- Assembles and transports needed stock in a manner that protects the sterility of product
- Works cooperatively with assigned units to establish appropriate par levels
- Works with customers to resolve any stock-out issues
- Responds timely to customer requests, through PING system or other.
- Gathers and delivers requested supplies to non-par inventory areas timely and as assigned
- Assists in monitoring and reporting potential stock out issues in main warehouse
- Maintains main warehouse stock in a neat and organized manner
- Maintains cleanliness of work area, including main warehouse and dock area
- Participates in inventory control counts, both annually and as assigned
- Works cooperatively and shows flexibility with scheduling of days to include weekend shifts, holiday coverage, and special needs of the department.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervision
Qualifications :
Education : High School or GED RequiredTraining and Experience : Warehouse or other inventory management experience preferred. Valid Arkansas Driver’s License currently cleanJob Knowledge : Basic computer skills request, I.e., Microsoft Office Tools, etc., as well as the ability to count quickly and accurately.Essentials :
Must be able to report to work fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of illegal drugs, medical marijuana, prescription medication, and / or alcohol.Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with other individuals.Physical Demands :
High physical effort (lift / carry up to 50 lbs.)
Pushes, pulls or moves carts, supplies, equipment that could exceed 150 lbs. with assistance of mechanical aids.
Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
Frequent prolonged standing / walking
Visual ability to see clearly
