The Domtar Mill in Rothschild, Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Engineer (full-time, permanent) to support quality initiatives, customer support and product development. This is a Process Engineer-focused role with emphasis on Pulp & Paper (Paper Science) or Chemical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality : Work with management and operations teams to utilize the human performance improvement (HPI) process, identify root causes of off-quality events and drive permanent solutions; organize and track solutions in the Enablon system (mill-wide database); interface with customers to build positive relationships and resolve issues / complaints.
• Organizational Effectiveness : Develop quality standards; lead teams to ensure product performance.
• Continuous Improvement : Serve as a mill resource for continuous improvement projects and tools; utilize lean tools (Six Sigma, DMAIC, FMEA, etc.) to lead teams in identifying and pursuing improvement projects.
• Safety : Be a safety advocate; lead by example.
• Suppliers / External Technical Resources : Interface with external technical resources and suppliers to initiate quality enhancement, cost reduction, and process improvement trials.
