FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES

Maplewood Career Center

Purpose of Request : Maplewood Career Center is seeking design services for renovation and construction at its facility located at 7075 State Route 88, Ravenna Ohio. Architectural firms with a track record of creative solutions in facility renovation and construction are invited to respond. This RFQ requests information for work on the property of the MCC.

Process :

1. Qualifications should be prepared simply and economically, providing straight forward and concise description of the firm s capability to satisfy the requirements of the request. Emphasis should be on completeness and clarity of content.

2. Any questions concerning this RFQ process should be directed to Michael Lenzo, Supervisor of Business Affairs at ext. or by e-mail .

3. Interested parties should submit responses to this RFQ through electronic or hard copy.

4. One (1) paper copy will be accepted. Paper proposals should be sent no later than 12 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025 to : Michael Lenzo , 7075 State Route 88 , Ravenna, Ohio 44266

5. E-mail proposals to (use a .pdf file format for your attachment). Send this e-mail no later than 12 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

Use the following for the subject line for emails pertaining to this project : Maplewood Design Proposal 2026.

1. Proposals received after this date will not be considered.

2. MCC District reserves the right to request clarification of information submitted and to request additional information from any firm.

Desired Qualifications : Firm must have experience in site planning, building design, contract documents, and construction administration. Proximity of the firm s main office to MCC is important. Previous experience in the past five years in design and construction in public school projects is preferred.

Proposals should include :

1. Brief information on firm background including the name and address of the firm(s), name of partners in the firm, and the name of the person submitting the proposal.

2. Provide a list of any school design projects completed by your firm within the last 5 years that reflect a similar scope, budget, and complexity.

3. The list of representative projects should include :

1. name of client

2. location

3. description of project

4. completion date

5. location

6. photos or drawings

7. budget / total cost

8. cost per square foot excluding design fees

9. references : name of contact person, address and telephone number

5. The number of full-time personnel employed by the firm and their job responsibilities, including registered engineers, designer / planners, project managers, etc. Please include organizational chart for review.

6. Names of firms to be used as project consultants, i.e., educational planners, mechanical engineers, energy consultants, etc.

7. Additional information related to your firm s qualifications.

Method of Evaluation : The District will evaluate the proposals received and each proposal will be reviewed based on the criteria stated above including : Experience, firm and individual qualifications, ability to perform work, and references.
