A Day in the Life

As a Track Inspector with Road & Rail Services, you'll spend your days outdoors, walking rail lines, inspecting track, and making sure everything is safe for rail operations. You'll document your findings in clear reports, identifying defects, and making repairs where needed. Some days will have you swapping out ties, rails, or switches. Other days you'll be working alongside a crew with hydraulic and hand tools, ensuring track is up to FRA and company standards.

This is demanding work-long hours on your feet, walking uneven ground, and lifting heavy materials-but if you take pride in detail, safety, and keeping trains moving, this role is a strong fit.

What We're Looking For In A Track Inspector

• Previous track maintenance and inspection experience required
• Strong mechanical aptitude; welding experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently, in all weather conditions, and handle physically demanding labor
• Valid driver's license required
