Residential Care Coordinator– Westbrook Care Center
Reports to : Executive Director
Position Summary :
The Residential Care Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the Resident Care community at Westbrook Care Center. This role ensures that residents experience a vibrant and engaging lifestyle while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement engaging programs and events that promote an active and fulfilling lifestyle for independent living residents.
Be prepared to respond to emergencies and follow established protocols for resident safety.
Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and evacuation plans.
Act as the primary point of contact for Residential Care residents and their families, addressing questions, concerns, and feedback.
Support marketing efforts by conducting tours, assisting with move-ins, and participating in local events.
Collaborate with the Executive Director to meet occupancy and financial goals for the community.
Conduct regular inspections to maintain compliance with safety standards and resident satisfaction.
Monitor resident wellness and coordinate with other departments or external resources as needed.
Oversee activities programing and ensure daily activities are meeting resident expectations.
Achieve and maintain budgeted occupancy goals at location
Develop and execute sales steps including “speed to lead” response time, tours, qualifying, and CRM database entries.
Manage inquiry database and document all contacts made daily and accurately.
Prepare collateral materials for tours and marketing events, such as an open house or hospital display.
Complete leasing paperwork as well as coordinating with the clinical team to confirm information for the clinical assessment is pass on timely and appropriately.
Establishing & maintaining relationships with local hospitals, physicians & community organizations for the purpose of generating consistent admissions to the facility
Ensure inquiries are followed up in a timely fashion, including nights and weekends.
Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (Visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents’ families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors and regulators).
Understand the admissions process including policy, procedures, assessments & paperwork requirements
Plan / develop / coordinate / implement resident activities.
Plan, coordinate and implement activities, events, trips and celebrations.
Engage residents to participate in all planned activities.
Encourage residents to utilize opportunities to demonstrate their talents and skills within the structure of the programmed activities.
Organize residents to plan and assist with scheduled events.
Prepare surveys and encourage response by residents concerning activities and interests of the resident community.
Plan and implement programs to celebrate nationally recognized holidays and other special days.
Communicate and cooperate with Manager, food service and pastoral care staff in planning activities.
Drive the bus / van weekly to resident doctor / dentist appointments, food stores, pharmacy, and to planned outings for residents.
Administrative and Other Assignments .
Prepare monthly activity calendar for Residential Care and keep residents informed.
Schedule and coordinate transportation needs for visits to food stores, pharmacy, bank, and medical appointments for residents.
Drive the community van / bus with direction from management, if applicable for your community.
Assist other staff members on occasion as needed.
Assist with answering the telephones and emergency call systems.
May perform other duties as assigned or requested by the Executive Director.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in hospitality, senior living, or related fields.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in senior living or hospitality management.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to foster relationships with residents, families, and staff.
MN Commercial Driver’s License with a passenger endorsement

Ability to handle fast paced environment
Knowledge on Patient Care.
Physical Requirements :
Stand, sit and walk for long periods of time.
Full ranges of motion to climb, balance, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Full function of hands and arms
Occasionally lift / or move up to 25 pounds with occasional lifting of residents at higher weight.
Able to transport residents in wheelchairs.
