Title : Project Coordinator, Maintenance & Operations
Location : Winston-Salem, NC
Duration : 12 Months
Hours : 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Technical Assistant to support the successful execution of Loose Tube Equipment Conversion project (Ranger) by providing technical, administrative, and operational support. The Project Technical Assistant will work closely with the project team, assisting in project planning, coordination, documentation, and technical implementation tasks. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong technical aptitude, organizational skills, and a passion for problem-solving. Project Manager or Project Coordinator with strong project management experience. Works and communicates with different teams, including Maintenance, Installation, and Operations, daily about the products. Experience with tools such as Visio, Microsoft Project, creating reports, leadership-level tasks, Excel, tables, and PowerPoint. Strong communication skills and self-motivated.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Support
o Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities.
o Collaborate with team members to ensure that project timelines and deliverables are met.
o Provide technical input and support during project design and execution phases.
2. Documentation and Reporting
o Prepare and maintain project documentation, including technical reports, meeting minutes, and progress updates.
o Compile and analyze data to generate reports for stakeholders.
o Ensure proper documentation of project changes, risks, and issues.
3. Technical Assistance
o Support the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of technical systems or equipment as required by the project.
o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with the technical team.
o Assist in the development and testing of project prototypes or systems.
4. Communication and Coordination
o Act as a liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and project management.
o Schedule and coordinate project meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
o Respond to inquiries and provide updates to team members and stakeholders.
5. Administrative Tasks
o Support the procurement of project-related materials and equipment.
o Track project expenses and assist with budget management.
o Maintain and organize project files and records.
o Track project schedule and coordinate for corrective actions if behind
Required Qualifications
1. Education
o Bachelor's degree in [relevant field : Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline] or equivalent strong experience and an associates degree.
2. Experience
o 2+ years of experience in a technical or project support role.
o Previous experience in optical cable manufacturing is an advantage.
3. Technical Skills
o Proficiency in MS Office, project management tool MS Project.
o Data analysis, PowerPoint presentation, Excel data stratification / Pivot and Visio.
o Familiarity with troubleshooting technical issues and providing support.
4. Soft Skills
o Strong organizational and time-management skills.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
o Attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
