Assembly Technician

The Position :

Mechanical assembly, electrical wiring and pneumatic plumbing of packaging machines and their subsequent tools.  Facilitating effective collaboration with successful information flow throughout each project while supporting the organization and build-up of machine assembly at US plant.

Job Duties :

• Complete assembly of packaging machines and format tools at the Somic facility based on technical documents, 3D models and drawings
• Assisting unloading of truck or sea freight container
• Un-crating and unpacking of incoming machine and parts
• Staging of machines and components
• Assisting on endurance runs
• Assembly of format tools and format carts according to 3D models and drawings
• Assembly and levelling of machines and conveyors
• Electrical wiring and connecting of machine and control panel
• Pneumatic plumbing of machine and format tools
• Electrical and pneumatic installation of sub-assemblies and components
• Installation of sub-assemblies and components
• Ensuring high quality standards per company policies
• Optimizing installation procedures
• Making sure assignments are performed correctly and on time
• Ensuring machine safety and quality requirements are being met
• Ensure completion of assembly process documentation
