What You'll Do :

Champion Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards. Perform duties safely, responsibly, and proficiently.

Work With Large Equipment. Follow established work procedures for machining, fitting, and repairing large crushing equipment parts. Load, feed, align, and secure mechanism with an overhead crane.

Plan Machining. Plan machining by work orders, blue prints, engineering plans, materials, or other specifications. Prepare work sketches and design fixtures, tooling, and experimental parts to meet needs.

Perform Machining Operations. Program, set up, and adjust mills, lathes, and many advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.

Ensure Efficiency. Visually observe and listen to operating machines and equipment to diagnose malfunctions and ensure operational efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need :

Experience. Five years of construction materials testing experience in construction materials to include aggregates, asphalt, and ready mix concrete is preferred. Must possess superior working knowledge in at least one product line and have skill in all product lines.

Functional Knowledge. Must have a working knowledge of mine operations equipment. Must be able to machine parts to dimensional specifications from blueprints and hand drawings.

Interpersonal Skills. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must demonstrate an attention to detail and good judgment.

Flexibility. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
