Regulatory Specialist - Quality & Patient Safety - Full-Time - Midtown

As a Regulatory Specialist, you'll play a key role in maintaining enterprise-wide compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and DOH standards. In this corporate role, you'll collaborate with hospital leadership across departments and campuses to implement standardized processes, support accreditation efforts, and drive continuous readiness.

You will :

  • Participate in hospital-wide continuous readiness activities to facilitate ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for hospital teams assessing compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with departments, service lines, operations, and clinical units to implement standardized processes for accreditation and regulatory activities across the NYP Enterprise.
  • Assist hospital teams in evaluating compliance and identifying gaps.
  • Facilitate the development of corrective action plans and monitor their completion.
  • Analyze related data and measurement tools to ensure standards are met and mitigation strategies are effective.
  • Guide teams toward compliance by interpreting data and providing strategic recommendations.

This position is based at our Midtown office and includes travel to other NYP campuses, joint ventures, medical groups, and physician organizations as needed.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Clinical licensure (RN, NP, PA, RD, PT / OT, or PharmD)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with Joint Commission or other regulatory survey activities in inpatient and ambulatory settings
  • Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years in healthcare-related roles
  • Strong knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and DOH requirements
  • Experience managing and interpreting data
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and levels of leadership

    Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

    Salary Range : $92,000-$152,500 / Annual
